AFRICAN cuisine is one of the most ancient cuisine in the history of food . AFRICAN cuisine actually contains surprising elements of different different food culture like ARAB , ASIAN , EUROPEAN and many others . Due to climates and growing condition , the ingredients of AFRICAN cuisine are different from one geographical region to other region . In the traditional cooking they actually used 4 common ingredient , which is usually used in mostly AFRICAN dishes .

EGUSI is actually a large size melon which looks like watermelon but its taste is different from watermelon . Watermelon has sweet taste even EGUSI has bitter taste . Although it's bitter in taste but it contains vitamin E .
*ONION :
ONION contains vitamin C which helps to increase immunity and it also work as antibiotic and improve mood and sleep . ONION is most commonly used in all dishes because its taste is very good and also helps to thicken the gravy . It can easily combine with vegetable dishes like OKRA soup , pepper soup as well as non veg like beef , chicken any many more .
*TOMATO:
TOMATO actually fall into the category of fruit . It contains calories 17.69 per 100 gm ENERGY , , Protein 900 mg per 100 gm , Vitamin C 14 mg per 100 gm . TOMATO is also added in many AFRICAN dishes like tomato stew , African cabbage stew , fried egg , chicken stew , and many more . Actually tomato are the best and largest source of vitamin c .
